1980s Brat Pack

"The Breakfast Club" (1985) was primarily filmed in an actual high school, and John Hughes wrote the script in just two days. The coming-of-age classic stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy, and features the Simple Minds hit song "Don't You (Forget About Me)".

The iconic film "Pretty in Pink" features Molly Ringwald as Andie Walsh and John Cryer as Duckie. Written by John Hughes and directed by Howard Deutch, this 1986 film is celebrated for its portrayal of high school cliques and teen angst.

It features Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "If You Leave" which became an international hit.

"St. Elmo's Fire" is a quintessential 1985 "Brat Pack" film featuring a group of friends navigating post-college life. The film's ensemble cast includes Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, and Andie MacDowell.

However, Brat Pack regular Molly Ringwald does not appear in the film.

Emilio Estevez plays the role of William H. Bonney, also known as "Billy the Kid", in the 1988 film "Young Guns" and its 1990 sequel "Young Guns II". The film's ensemble cast also includes Estevez's brother Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney, and Casey Siemaszko.

In the iconic 1986 film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", the titular character, played by Matthew Broderick, crowdsurfs and lip syncs to a cover of The Beatles' "Twist and Shout" on a Chicago parade float.

The lively parade sequence, filmed during an actual German-American parade in Chicago, was spontaneous as most onlookers were not aware they were in the background of a film scene.
