Earl Grey tea gets its distinctive citrusy aroma and flavor from bergamot oil. Primarily grown in Italy, the bergamot orange is known for its unique fragrance and floral taste. The tea is named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey and a British Prime Minister in the 1830s, who was given the blend as a gift.
