The obesity rate among United States adults has fallen to 37% this year down from 40% a year ago. The decline comes as a growing number of Americans turn to GLP-1 drugs to lose weight.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar levels. It also slows down the digestion process by delaying the emptying of the stomach and suppresses appetite by promoting feelings of fullness.

The White House's East Wing was demolished in late October 2025. The demolition was part of a plan by President Donald Trump to build a new, 90,000-square-foot ballroom capable of holding close to 1,000 people.
