The books have sold over 500 million copies worldwide, been translated into numerous languages, and spawned a highly successful Hollywood film franchise. 

American aviator Amelia Earhart achieved the historic flight in 1932, making her an aviation pioneer and setting a long-standing record in the process.

Born on July 5, 1996 at the Roslin Institute in Scotland, Dolly the Sheep was the first mammal successfully cloned from an adult cell. She was named after country singing icon Dolly Parton.

Delaware holds the unique distinction of being the first state to be ratified into the United States on December 7, 1787. Often called "The First State", Delaware's speedy actions in ratifying the Constitution helped set the precedent for future ratifications. 

The original ancient Olympic Games were held in Olympia, Greece, beginning in 776 BCE, and serving as a festival to honor the Greek god Zeus. These games were held every four years and featured sports such as running, long jump, shot put, javelin, boxing, and equestrian events. The tradition was revived with the inaugural modern Olympic Games in 1896, hosted in Athens, Greece.
