Harry Potter Villains

Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Riddle, is the main antagonist in the "Harry Potter" universe and is often referred to by characters as "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" due to fear of invoking his power. Voldemort is a dark wizard who seeks to dominate the wizarding world and eliminate non-pureblood witches and wizards. 

In the "Harry Potter" universe, Death Eaters are followers of Lord Voldemort who practice the Dark Arts and aim to rid the wizarding world of Muggle-borns. They act as Voldemort's insurgent army and are recognized by the Dark Mark, a magical symbol burned into their forearms. 

Founded by Salazar Slytherin, the Slytherin house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is known for valuing ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness. Its emblematic animal is a serpent, and its colors are green and silver. 

Alan Rickman, who plays the iconic role of Severus Snape in every "Harry Potter" film, was originally hesitant to take on the role of Snape, as he feared it could be "too restrictive". However, his nuanced portrayal is celebrated for giving depth and ambiguity to a character known for a mix of menace and melancholy.

Author J.K. Rowling referred to Dementors as "soulless creatures" that cannot be seen by Muggles. They drain happiness from people and force them to relive their worst memories.
