Taylor Swift scored her first number one single in 2011 when "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" hit the top of the charts. Both 2009's "You Belong with Me" and 2012's "I Knew You Were Trouble" topped out at number two

Taylor Swift's 2006 debut single, "Tim McGraw," isn't about the singer, per se, but rather about how his music should serve as a reminder of a relationship that once was. Swift wrote the song while she was a freshman in high school, incorporating elements of her own doomed relationship.

In its ranking of the top country artists of the 2000s, TheBoot.com ranked Taylor Swift at No. 5, one spot higher than Tim McGraw.

 Taylor Swift re-recorded and re-released two albums in 2021 as part of an effort to take back control of her music after her original record label was sold. While "Red" got more attention (especially after the ten-minute version of "All Too Well" became the longest No. 1 song in history), Swift also released a "Taylor's Version" of 2008's "Fearless."

Taylor Swift is the oldest of two children born to parents who had both worked in the financial industry. Named after singer-songwriter James Taylor, she was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1989.

To help young Taylor pursue her country music ambitions, the family relocated to the Nashville area when she was fourteen years old.

While Taylor Swift has written several "burn" songs about a variety of exes, including all four of the stars listed here, the first famous beau to get the Taylor treatment was Joe Jonas, with songs on both "Fearless" (2008) and "Speak Now" (2010).
