When Neil Armstrong made his historic step onto the Moon on July 20, 1969, he used his left foot as the first human foot to make contact with the lunar surface. This momentous event was part of the Apollo 11 mission, with Armstrong marking history by uttering the famous words, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind".
