National Nurses Week

Ben Stiller stars as the hapless yet lovable male nurse Gaylord "Greg" Focker in the "Meet the Parents" film series. Stiller's comedic chemistry with co-stars Robert De Niro, who plays Greg's intimidating father-in-law, former CIA agent Jack Byrnes, brings many hilarious scenarios to 2000's "Meet the Parents" and its sequels. The surname "Focker" circumvented language censors because it was confirmed by the filmmakers to be a real surname.

"Heroes" premiered on NBC in 2006 and captivated audiences with its portrayal of ordinary individuals discovering superhuman abilities. The character Peter Petrelli, played by Milo Ventimiglia, was known for his empathy and his power of absorbing and mimicking the abilities of others, making him a central figure in the series. 

FUN FACT

Actress Loretta Swit earned two Emmy Awards for her role on "M*A*S*H" (1972). She and Alan Alda were the only two stars who appeared in both the pilot episode and the finale.

Christina Hawthorne is actually the main character in the medical drama "Hawthorne" (2009), where she serves as Chief Nursing Officer. "ER" (1994) featured Abby Lockhart and Samantha Taggart as nurses, while Carol Hathaway was a head nurse in the county hospital's emergency room setting. 

"Call the Midwife" is a popular British period drama that first aired in 2012. It is based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, who was a nurse and midwife, and the series vividly portrays the lives of medics working in the East End of London from the late 1950s onwards.
