The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company seafood restaurant chain was inspired by the 1994 film "Forrest Gump." In the movie, the character Bubba forms a plan to go into the shrimping business, and after his death in the Vietnam War, Forrest fulfills that dream by starting the Bubba Gump Shrimp Corporation. 

Inspired by his 1977 hit song, Jimmy Buffett founded the iconic casual restaurant chain Margaritaville with a coastal lifestyle theme. The Margaritaville brand has expanded to include hotels, casinos, RV resorts, and a cruise line, all embodying his relaxed island vibe.

The International House of Pancakes, more commonly known as IHOP, opened its first restaurant in Toluca Lake, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Since then, it has become famous for its wide variety of pancakes and a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. 

Benihana introduced the Japanese teppanyaki concept to the United States in 1964. Founded by Hiroaki "Rocky" Aoki, Benihana was the first restaurant to bring the entertaining experience where diners watched expert chefs prepare food on sizzling steel griddles right in front of them. 

Rocky Aoki is father to famous DJ Steve Aoki.

Founded in Orlando, Florida in 1982, Olive Garden is known for offering unlimited breadsticks with meals. In 1983, the popular Italian American dining spot adopted the slogan: "When you're here, you're family", embodying a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
