Before launching a solo career in 1985, Sting, whose real name is Gordon Sumner, was the frontman for the Police. His hits include "Fields of Gold" and "Englishman in New York". 

Cher, born Cherilyn Sarkisian, has become an international icon with a career spanning over six decades. She initially gained fame in the 1960s as part of the duo Sonny & Cher.  Throughout her career, Cher has continually reinvented herself and her musical style, making her one of the most enduring and influential figures in entertainment history.

Globally famous singer and songwriter Shakira hails from Barranquilla, Colombia. Known for hits like "Hips Don't Lie" and "Whenever, Wherever", she has become an icon in both the English and Spanish-speaking music worlds. Her unique blend of Latin pop and rock has earned her numerous awards, including multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards. 

Adele won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Skyfall", which is the title song for the 2012 James Bond film "Skyfall". The song was both a commercial success and critically acclaimed, leading to several other major awards, including a Grammy, a Brit Award, and a Golden Globe. 

In 2001, Icelandic singer Björk made headlines at the Oscars with her unique fashion choice: a swan dress. Designed by Marjan Pejoski, the dress was an eye-catching centerpiece, featuring a long swan neck that draped around Björk's shoulders.
