Cancún is a planned city, created to foster tourism. When development of the area as a resort was started on January 23, 1970, Isla Cancún had only three residents, all caretakers of a coconut plantation.

Flip Cup, sometimes known as Canoe, is a team based game where two sets of players line up on each side of a table, chug a drink, and attempt to flip their empty cup over before moving on to the next player.

The American Addiction Centers has found it is the most quickly intoxicating drinking game, getting players to the .08 blood alcohol legal limit in just 20 minutes.

Back in 1987, Vanderbilt University introduced an "alternative spring break" to get kids away from partying and focused on community.

Part of this effort was involving charity Habitat for Humanity, who brings in thousands of students every year to build houses for the less fortunate.

From 1986 until 2014, MTV would travel to various spring break destinations and broadcast live every day for an entire week.

The broadcasts featured musical acts, special spring break versions of their shows, and appearances by partying celebrities.

While many things, including drinking alcohol, using fireworks, having pets, playing loud music, and flying drones are prohibited, driving on the beach is NOT.

However, vehicles must stay in designated areas, during designated hours, off of protected dunes, and stay under 10mph while moving.
