Trivia Safari Challenge

Unique among big cats, lions are the only ones known to live and travel in family groups called prides. A typical pride consists of a few adult males, related females, and their offspring. 

This social structure is quite unusual among large cats, which are usually more solitary. The pride system allows lions to cooperate hunting and protecting their territory more effectively than they could do alone.

The cheetah is native to Africa and is renowned as the fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds of 60 to 70 miles per hour in short bursts covering distances of up to 1,500 feet. Its slender, lightweight frame and long, powerful legs make it exquisitely adapted for acceleration, while large nasal passages in its skull enable rapid air intake to fuel its muscles. 

Elephants are well-known for their impressive ivory tusks, which are essentially elongated incisor teeth. These tusks continue to grow throughout the elephant's lifetime and serve multiple purposes. Unfortunately, these tusks have also made elephants a target for poachers, leading to a significant threat to their populations due to the illegal ivory trade.

In the beloved animated preschool television series "Peppa Pig," Zuzu and Zaza Zebra are part of the delightful array of characters that bring whimsy and fun to young viewers. They are the twin daughters of Mr. Zebra, the postman, and Mrs. Zebra. "Peppa Pig" has been a staple of children's programming since it first aired in 2004.

The "Big Five", originally invented by hunters, is now more widely used by game viewing tourists and safari tour operators to refer to a group of five iconic and sought-after animals: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo.

The hippopotamus is not part of the "Big Five" despite its significance in the African landscape.
