"Summer of Soul" won the award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards. The film is about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which included Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, and Sly and the Family Stone. At the time, the festival received little media coverage and was largely forgotten.

Filmmakers used forty hours of footage from the festival to create the film, which also examines why the festival was forgotten in favor of others such as Woodstock and Altamont.

1984's Talking Heads concert film "Stop Making Sense" is widely considered one of the greatest concert films ever made and was innovative for not featuring any shots of the audience until the very end of the film.

New Order released "Blue Monday" in 1983, The Boomtown Rats had a hit with "I Don't Like Mondays" in 1979, and The Carpenters went to #2 on the Billboard charts in 1971 with "Rainy Days and Mondays."

The Rolling Stones released "Ruby Tuesday" in 1967.

FUN FACT

The food in Flavortown Market is all real. After shooting wraps, the production donates produce, meat, dairy products, and other perishables to local food banks.

Tyler Woodbridge started the Change.org petition in 2020 following Columbus, Ohio's removal of a Christopher Columbus statue, stating "the (city's) name is tarnished by the very name itself" and "naming the city in honor of (Guy) would be superior to its current nomenclature."
