Chubby Checker is famous for popularizing "The Twist" dance craze in the early 1960s, inspired by Hank Ballard's original 1959 song also called "The Twist". Checker's version of the song caused a nationwide dance frenzy, as "The Twist" became considered one of the most recognizable and iconic dances of its time. 

Although it had been performed by others as early as the 1930s, Michael Jackson took the Moonwalk to new heights with his performance of "Billie Jean" during a televised performance in 1983.

Jackson claimed that he wanted to make it appear as though he was gliding over the moon’s surface, hence the name. 

The playful novelty dance song "Hokey Pokey" is popular at parties, weddings, and sports events, engaging participants in a series of movements and turns.

The exact origins of the dance are debated, with claims linking it back to an old British folk dance from the 19th century.

The iconic "silhouette" iPod ads were launched by Apple in 2003. The series of ads showed silhouetted figures dancing against vibrant backgrounds to songs by artists such as U2, Daft Punk, and Black Eyed Peas.

"Vogue" by Madonna was released in 1990 and became an international hit, popularizing the dance style known as voguing.

The dance features model-like poses striking intricate arm and body movements, drawing inspiration from the fashion world and the glamorous lifestyle of high-profile models.
